Navitas is a Perth based global education services provider. The company employs over 3000 staff and has operations in 8 countries. Over 45000 students from 87 countries enroll in Navitas colleges each year. In 2009 Navitas chose Tickit On Demand as their Risk and Compliance software.
In a recent email, John Kitching, Navitas Group Internal Audit and Risk Manager, detailed Navitas’ experience with Tickit On Demand thus far:
‘The Audit Committee’ John wrote, ‘has stated on two occasions that Navitas risk management capability has raised a level or two and Tickit On Demand has played an enabling role in this.’
On Tickit On Demand’s usability and acceptance across Navitas, John said ‘It is easy to use and very intuitive. We have nearly 70 users and I have not had any complaints at all. The heat maps are a very effective method of presenting an assessment of the control environment. Take-up has been very good: I have been pleasantly surprised at how many colleagues want to use it.’
John also commented on Tickit On Demand’s strengths, he said ‘The reporting functionality is really good. I can produce “heat maps” of Business Units, or Divisions, or the Group; or by risk category. This really helps when preparing our audit plan: we can identify the key types of risk; and the riskier Business Units. I also produce meaningful reports for the Audit Committee, whether the reports are on audits, or outstanding matters, or for planning purposes. ‘
On Tickit Systems support, John added ‘Level of support has been really good. Tickit Systems have always been very helpful, phone calls or emails are returned very promptly. They are also willing to listen to ideas to enhance the system functionality and ease of use (which actually is pretty good).’
To conclude he added ‘In summary: highly recommended. Easy to use; good reporting; the Audit Committee likes it!’
